The first days of the new phase in my life are over. The move to Brentford went without any major problems, my housemates are really cool and relaxed and so is my job. I’ve to get used to have people around me, but other than flipping the channel when they were watching something this seems to be fairly easy. My room is not very big, but it’s big enough for a couple of months. In the meantime I keep my eyes open for a nice apartment in the area.
Yesterday was also my first day at the Citrix Chalfont office. The day was spent setting up the training facilities for the XenServer/XenDesktop training this week. Not everything went smooth, but at the end of the day the machines had been prepped for the next days. Also had a talk with HR (the company manual is HUGE) and went through an introduction of the applications I’ll be using on a regular basis. Today was the first day of training, I participated in the XenServer training delivered by Joël. I had to leave a couple of times, since I had to attend the IT Services introduction, a conference call on how to use the travel application and a conference call on the next version of Citrix Presentation Server. Everything considered, it was a pretty productive day.
Now, if only I can get the hang of this BlackBerry Pearl. Makes me wish I could return to my HTC S710.
